The Barefoot Collective was born out of a simple truth: that when we spend time in nature, our minds open, our shoulders drop, our breath deepens, and we find our way back to ourselves.
Our retreats are designed with that feeling in mind. Thoughtfully paced and intentionally designed, each journey balances exploration with restoration. From coastlines and countryside across the UK and Europe to extraordinary locations further afield, we choose places with a strong sense of nature and space, landscapes that invite both adventure and stillness.
These are the kinds of experiences you carry with you long after you return home. Like the quiet ease of walking barefoot on warm sand: light, unhurried and free.
Welcome to The Barefoot Collective

Sara Durante
FOUNDER & RETREAT CURATOR
Hi, I’m Sara, founder of The Barefoot Collective. Born and raised in Tuscany and now based in the UK, I've always felt most at home outdoors -whether walking along the coast and watching the tide roll in, hiking through the countryside or sitting under an olive tree to take in the beauty of the natural world around me.
Over the years, I've travelled extensively and taken part in many retreats around the world, experiences that continue to inspire me and the way I design and host my own retreats.
The idea for The Barefoot Collective grew from a desire to bring together the things that have shaped my own wellbeing journey: time in nature, meaningful travel, nourishing food, intentional movement and genuine connection. Today, I curate retreats that weave these elements into beautiful experiences designed to stay with you long after the journey ends.
I can't wait to welcome you on one of our retreats.
